Long time, no post

So I haven't posted in forever, I guess I just use LJ too much. I don't even post enough over there really. Ill be keeping this blog open, I guess as a back up. Should really post then shouldn't I, lol.
Maybe I'll get around to doing so eventually, I just try to do too much at once. It really would help if I just did one thing at a time, I might actually get somewhere then. Still, I've posted something now haven't I.

All's new and the same

I know that I haven't updated in a very long time, but I am finally updated now.
First I have a new job and all is going well, at the moment anyway. So finally I am going to be able to spend money freely again without worrying about it. Well I say that but I have to save up for my driving lessons and put money aside for a car. So I guess it won't be too different.
I have to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who vote in last years SMVA's. I came away with three 2nd's and a 1st!!!! So I was very happy with that. I also won and award from the Skaro awards round 3 for my "She Is" vid. And the top it all off I came 5th in the Stargate Fan Contest, winning a signed script for my "Angels" vid. Wow. Lets hope there's still more to come.

I have been having a cyber fight with my laptop for the pass few days and finally their was a winner....the laptop :( 1-0
So I have had to reboot the whole computer and start again. I am downloading programs as I type this. Luckily my harddrive was here to save the day, I was able to move almost everything onto it. So no loss of clips and episodes. Yay!!! 1-1
The most annoying and frustating part about it was that I had almost completed another vid, that I was very proud of, but could save it because the program kept shutting me out. Damn it!!!! 2-1
So I'm starting all over again. I don't want to give up on this vid and it IS going to be made. Anyway I have to get back to my reinstalling and checking my mail I guess. I will be back very soon. The weekedn is almost here and so I WIll find the time. Until next time.....

Great news!!! My SGA - Angels vid that was entered into the superfan contest has made it into the top ten. Part 2: Amanda Tapping, yes THE Amanda Tapping will view the top ten vids and then chose the winners. Though to get this far is like winning anyway. I know it's been a while, almost a month. Why did I think that I would be able to update a blog on top of everything else. I guess I was hoping for a miracle.

This vid worked reasonably well, only because of the song choice, nothing to do with the editing. It just happened to fit in with the storyline of the show. What luck.

Don't Stop Dancing:
This was so poorly edited, but saying that it was only my fourth vid and at the time there were no many other vids around, the community certainly was not a large and popular as it is today. The vidding community just seems to keep growing, with new vidders joining what seems like every second. And with new T.V show and Movies it's just everlasting.

So if you haven't made a vid yet and want to I really would recommend that you give it a go. By now I have quite a lot of vid making experience now, but that is only due to me thinking that it looked fun to do. You never know that you to could be able to do it well, unless you try these things....
